You know, in any family, moving is a big deal. It is life-changing, more often than not, and it is exciting. The door opens up to so many new possibilities, experiences and memories. We should be closing within the next week (and a day) and this is very exciting for us. The process has been entertaining to say the least and we’re more anxious and excited every day.
Meanwhile, I’ve been under the weather – not a fun thing to be with a toddler running circles around you – and we’ve been moving in slow-motion as a result. Just as when we moved to Texas and I could not acclimate, I took a test. Not only is my little family moving into a larger space, but our family itself is growing as well. I am pregnant again!
I am estimating that I’m due sometime in February, so we aren’t very far along at all, but I’m not one for secrets. As a matter of fact, I told my husband on Skype via cellphone almost immediately after the results showed, then called my mother, my in-laws, my sister (& sis-in-law) and extended family and finally posted on Facebook. All within 2 or 3 hours of the positive test. This week I’ll go in to my first OB appointment and make sure the little poppyseed looks well and we’ll go from there.
So, our family is changing, fairly quickly, and fairly majorly. This is very exciting. I’m sleepy and queasy almost all of the time, which I’m hearing can mean that this poppyseed is a girl, and the little munchkin that we’ve already been blessed with is definitely taking advantage of the slo-mo version of his momma. The pups are already on full-alert, which is actually reassuring since they can sense the hormones and whatnot, and we’re all bracing ourselves for the next chapters.
That’s about all I’ve got for today. The pitter patter of keys on the keyboard doesn’t sit well with the napping little guy by my side, so I’m limited on time. Hope you are all having a wonderful week! God bless you!
